Meet Our Leadership Team

Laura BergersonCEO

Laura brings nearly 20 years of cross-functional channel experience to the business, including working in the leading channel organizations of Cisco and 3Com. She comes from a long lineage of entrepreneurs, so it’s no surprise that she chose to leave the corporate environment to found Channel Impact®.

Laura is an avid college football fan and a lover of craft brews, which likely comes from living in the Pacific Northwest while earning her B.S. degree at the University of Oregon. She is very active in the San Francisco chapter of Entrepreneur’s Organization and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council, and was nominated as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 by Women’s Initiative.

John EricksenPrincipal and GM, Channel Strategy

John has helped many technology clients achieve route-to-market success by implementing channel sales models and programs that get results. Prior to Channel Impact®, John held several executive positions at Cisco, including heading all worldwide channel incentive programs, leading Asia Pacific channel sales, and designing the SMB go-to-market model, “Partner Plus.”

John holds a B.S. degree in computer engineering from UC Santa Barbara and an MBA from University of Chicago. He looks back fondly on the three years he lived in Singapore, and really misses those “hawker stalls” where he could get delicious Asian food with the locals.

Simon HodsonVP, Enablement
A seasoned channel careerist, Simon has a wealth of international experience from living and working in Europe, Asia, and the US. In addition to his B.S. degree, he holds a post-graduate Certificate in Education, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. Simon draws upon these experiences, as well as over 25 years of high-technology channel strategy, development, and marketing. His insights and pragmatic approaches enable and drive positive change within our clients and their partner communities.

In addition to international corporate and field roles at Autodesk and Sun Microsystems, Simon has provided channel consulting services to Cisco, HP, Microsoft, NetApp, McAfee, Seagate, VMware, and Citrix Systems, as well as to a variety of start-ups. He’s an avid mountain biker, and is blessed to live and ride where it all started: Marin County, California.

Peiman AmoukhtehVP, Channel Measurement

Peiman specializes in developing simulators, statistical models, and analytical tools. These resources help us develop and communicate our channel strategy, and provide clients with interactive tools for evaluating their own channel strategy parameters and alternatives.

Peiman has 20 years of industry experience in engineering, engineering management, and corporate management. He has strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and extensive experience in statistics, systems dynamics, six-sigma, and theory of constraint.

Peiman was President and COO of Comtel Electronics, was founder and CEO of S2i2, Inc. and was Director of Advanced Technology Group at Solectron Corporation. He loves fine wine and fast cars, and enjoys both on frequent trips to the Napa Valley.

Kristine StewartVP, Business Development

Kristine Stewart focuses on go-to-market strategies, channel programs, and delivering high-performance sales initiatives. At Channel Impact, she helps drive the connections which build alignment across various organizational models; from functional teams in corporations to sales and partner teams.

Throughout her career, Kristine has held numerous executive leadership roles across marketing, channels, business development, and sales ownership. She helped grow companies at multiple levels; from start-ups through large organizations, and served as General Manager for several divisions. While at Cisco, she ran the company’s Worldwide Commercial Solutions team, along with the Emerging Markets Commercial Sales organization, which covered 132 countries generating a $1B plus sales quota. During this time, her team helped drive Cisco’s overall strategy for Commercial segment coverage with sales and partners, PartnerLed.

Kristine lives in Laguna Beach, where her love of the ocean inspired her to volunteer with tidepool education. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Laguna Beach Boys and Girls Club, and formerly served on the CABA, CompTIA, and the Internet Home Alliance industry boards. When she has free time, she enjoys travel, golf, photography, and hiking the beautiful hills of Southern California.

Sandy PretoChannels-as-a-Service Manager

Sandy Preto specializes in relationship management and marketing, with deep experience in training and development that’s shaped her career. In her current position at Channel Impact, she manages the employee and customer engagement experience. Sandy balances technical sophistication with a sales/marketing mindset, and brings unbounded passion to both.

Before joining Channel Impact, Sandy was a Director at InnovationPoint, a boutique consulting firm that helped clients design organizational structures, processes and cultures that create sustainable innovation. Previously, she held positions as Business Development Manager, Director of Training, and Sales Training Manager.

Sandy is a valuable contributor to Channel Impact, and to her community, too. She serves as President of Notes4Hope, which produces and promotes music and concerts to raise money and awareness around breast cancer prevention.  She’s also served as the CORE Board Chairman for the Moraga School District, and has been a past three-time PTA President.
