Security vendor Avast has announced a partnership with Kyocera Document Solutions Canada to deliver customized endpoint security solutions and managed IT services to customers throughout Canada. The three-year deal will leverage the AVG Business by Avast product portfolio.
Avast’s cloud-based, machine learning threat detection network will be used to detect and block a wide variety of attacks, including malware, phishing, and ransomware. The solution set includes a full IT services portfolio with advanced endpoint security services, remote monitoring, and help desk and technical support.
“With the rapid growth of cyber threats such as ransomware, security has become a top priority for our customers,” said Michel Naud, director of direct operations for Kyocera Canada. “By partnering with Avast, not only can we provide immediate and effective security protection, we now have the technology, services and resources to build and scale the IT services side of our business.”
Key customer segments for Kyocera include education, government, and healthcare.
Security has arguably become the most quickly evolving challenge in IT today. With that as a given, many companies are forging partnerships with security-focused companies in order to better protect their customers’ businesses.
