SolarWinds MSP Launches Threat Monitoring Service

SolarWinds MSP has announced the launch of the SolarWinds Threat Monitoring Service Program, which builds upon the Scottsdale Arizona-based company’s Threat Monitor product, adding outsourced security operations center (SOC) services delivered through participating partners.

Threat Monitor is designed to help reduce the complexity of threat detection, leveraging automated threat detection, active response to security incidents, and audit-ready reports. The new program is designed to support MSPs who have purchased Threat Monitor, but prefer to partner with one of the SolarWinds Threat Monitoring Service Providers (TMSPs) to deliver managed security services to their customers.

“MSPs are already doing security basics on the protection front; however, they don’t necessarily want to become full MSSPs, even though there is a growing market demand for detection- and remediation-focused security,” stated Tim Brown, vice president of security at SolarWinds. “This is where the SolarWinds Threat Monitoring Service Program comes into play. It’s designed to give our customers the chance to partner with SolarWinds TMSPs to deliver the types of 24/7 SOC services that are becoming more paramount.”

Services to be delivered through the program include initial assessment and onboarding, deployment of Threat Monitor and 24/7 continuous monitoring and alerts, incident analysis, and remediation, when necessary. TMSPs are expected to meet a rigid set of criteria, including recognized certifications, such as CISSP and CEH, Threat Monitor product expertise, and MSP market experience.

Falanx Group of London and Secuvant of Salt Lake City serve as the program’s inaugural TMSPs.

Rubrik Rolls Out New Velocity Partner Program

Rubrik, a Palo Alto-based cloud data management company, has launched the Rubrik Velocity Partner Program, the company’s first global program for resellers.

Rubrik provides a platform to manage and protect data in the cloud, at the edge, and on-premises, supporting automation, backup and recovery, and accelerated cloud adoption.

The new program includes three tiers (Authorized, Select, and Elite), based on competency and performance. Requirements will vary based on country and partner size. The program also introduces new specializations to recognize specific capabilities. To further support partner education, the company is launching Rubrik Academy, a new enablement program for the partner ecosystem, which includes accreditations for partner sales, pre-sales, and post-sales. The program also introduces a rebate for Elite partners, lead and opportunity sharing, joint marketing funds, and incentives for partner sales and sales engineer representatives in the highest tiers. A Partner Technical Advisory Board is also being engaged.

“Rubrik’s unprecedented growth is due in large part to our phenomenal partner ecosystem and our 100% channel go-to-market approach,” said Bertrand Yansouni, VP of Worldwide Channel at Rubrik. “Our new Velocity Partner Program expands upon our commitment to the channel by empowering partners to drive their key business initiatives through Rubrik, like building their cloud business or driving more advanced services.”
