Notes4Hope – The Soundtrack of the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Published On: October 10, 2017Categories: Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Buzz, Uncategorized

We’d like to recognize the establishment Notes4Hope – an amazing collaboration of community and music makers. Notes4Hope has created a movement of great proportion, blending the push for a cure with a soundtrack of musical guests graciously attaching their voices to the cause. Talent like Matt Nathanson, LUCE, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, and other local and famous artists have lent their support and platforms to bring light to the causes that Notes4Hope works so diligently for: beating the beast that is Breast Cancer.

Notes4Hope stemmed from a surprise gathering planned by our employee Sandy’s fiancé, Mark. The combination of live music, friends, and positive sentiment gave Sandy and Mark the idea of arranging more shows to spread the word about breast cancer prevention. That’s when Notes4Hope was born. Today, the organization has organized numerous events, sold out venues, and has hosted some of the top talent of today’s music scene on its stages.

“My ultimate (perhaps unrealistic) dream is to transform the way our society approaches health care from treating sickness to focusing on prevention and wellness,” says Sandy, who herself battled stage 3 breast cancer. “Music, in a sense, is medicine. It is a voice, a feeling, so many things. For us to incorporate music’s power into our organization makes it that much stronger. The artists that have supported us are amazing, and by adding their voice to ours, we reach a huge audience that supports what we fight against.”

This year, Mat Kearney will be headlining the October 14, 2017 show at Cal Shakes-Bruns Amphitheater, and it promises to be one for the books. The Channel Impact team will be in attendance, and we’ll be sure to share photos from the event on the Channel Impact social pages. Make sure you are following us, and follow Notes4Hope on social media as well for events and information on how you can contribute to the cause.
