ScanSource Announces Expansion of HPE Networking Partnership

ScanSource, a South Carolina-based distributor, has announced an expanded partnership with HPE to include offerings from HPE Juniper Networking. The company says that the addition of the combined HPE Networking portfolio enhances ScanSource’s ability to seamlessly connect networking and security solutions for partners, allowing for improved network performance, simplified operations and increased efficiency for their end users.

ScanSource intends to offer tailored channel programs, marketing strategies, sales expertise and market-building capabilities. Additionally, it plans to provide HPE with opportunities to create new channels and drive demand through ScanSource’s VARs, advisors, SPs, and ISVs.

“This next phase builds on that strong foundation. Adding HPE Juniper Networking’s solutions to our line card further expands the reach of our networking practice and strengthens our networking and security infrastructure, enabling us to seamlessly connect solutions across the technologies we deliver,” said Mark Morgan, President, Specialty Technologies, ScanSource. “We’re excited for our partners to engage with our team, explore new opportunities and accelerate growth with these expanded offerings from HPE Juniper Networking.”

Barracuda Acquires Evo Security

Barracuda Networks has acquired Evo Security, an identity and access management (IAM) provider that consolidates IAM and PAM into a single, multi-tenant platform for MSPs. The platform combines MFA, SSO, Help Desk Verification, RADIUS, and Privileged Access Management – including technician and end user elevation – into one agent and one dashboard.

By combining Evo Security’s identity solutions with Barracuda’s existing identity-driven controls, the company promises to deliver a unified, end-to-end identity security architecture through a single platform at a time when global IAM investment experiences double-digit year-over-year growth. This integrated approach is intended to give partners one multi-tenant environment to deliver complete identity resilience, while customers gain modern protection without the operational burden of stitching together multiple tools.

“In the agentic AI era, protecting both human and non-human identities is imperative for delivering cyber resilience,” said Barracuda CEO Rohit Ghai. Existing enterprise identity solutions are complex, costly, and fail to meet the needs of MSPs that must scale to securely manage millions of identities across thousands of customer environments. We are thrilled to combine Evo Security’s partner-first innovation with our vision of BarracudaOne and offer a complete, intelligent, easy, and open platform that closes this gap.”

“Joining Barracuda gives us the scale, reach and resources to accelerate that mission globally,” said Michael Roth, CEO and Founder of Evo Security. “Our identity‑first approach was designed from day one for MSP operations, and now, together with BarracudaOne, we can bring modern identity security, privileged access management and automation to far more partners and the customers they protect.”

With this acquisition, the combined company intends to deliver a four-layer identity security architecture that stops identity and privilege misuse via uncontrolled privileges, user authentication, and inconsistent access policies; eliminates broad, risky access paths; protects identity systems from disruption; and stops identity‑based attacks.

Evo Security’s team has joined Barracuda, which will continue to support Evo Security’s existing MSPs as the platform expands. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

RecordPoint Launches Global Partner Program

RecordPoint, a Seattle-based company with a data and AI governance platform, has launched a global channel program, marking a strategic shift to a channel-first business model.

“Data governance and AI governance have converged into a single conversation in every boardroom,” said CEO Anthony Woodward. “AI is only as trustworthy as the data underneath it, and that realization has turned data governance from a compliance line item into one of the fastest-growing budget priorities in enterprise IT.”

The program offers two tracks. A reseller track spans four tiers — Aggregator, Certified, Select and Premier — with the entry-level Aggregator tier carrying no revenue requirement and handling software procurement and fulfilment, while higher tiers unlock greater margins in line with increasing revenue commitments. A parallel referral and co-sell track allows partners to work alongside RecordPoint’s own sales teams. All partners complete technical and sales certifications before transacting, ensuring customers receive consistent expertise across the ecosystem.

The program will be led by Christian Lucarelli, VP Global Partner Sales & Strategy, who joined RecordPoint in January from process intelligence and automation vendor Nintex, where he spent nearly a decade in senior leadership roles, most recently heading the company’s global partner program.

“We’ve built this program so partners can monetize the data and AI governance opportunity from day one,” Lucarelli said. “Certified enablement, deal registration, joint marketing and a customer book of named logos partners can lead with — the infrastructure is all there.”

To support the program, RecordPoint is launching a new partner portal alongside dedicated enablement tracks covering sales, commercial, technical and delivery skills. The company has also committed partner marketing funds and co-branding resources, with deal registration and access to Microsoft’s co-sell motion available to participating partners.

Woodward said the move reflects how buying behavior has changed. “Organizations don’t want to buy point software anymore. They want a partner who can advise on their entire data and AI strategy. RecordPoint provides the technology layer, and our partners bring the consulting, frameworks and implementation services that wrap around it. Together, that’s the complete offering regulated organizations are asking for.”

The program serves organizations globally including national and regional systems integrators, specialist data and information governance consultancies, managed service providers, Microsoft 365 and cloud advisory firms, and Big 4 advisory practices.

The new channel-first strategy gives resellers, consultancies and systems integrators an opportunity to capitalize on rapidly growing demand for data and AI governance as organizations scale AI adoption.
