Barracuda Acquires Evo Security

Barracuda Networks has acquired Evo Security, an identity and access management (IAM) provider that consolidates IAM and PAM into a single, multi-tenant platform for MSPs. The platform combines MFA, SSO, Help Desk Verification, RADIUS, and Privileged Access Management – including technician and end user elevation – into one agent and one dashboard.

By combining Evo Security’s identity solutions with Barracuda’s existing identity-driven controls, the company promises to deliver a unified, end-to-end identity security architecture through a single platform at a time when global IAM investment experiences double-digit year-over-year growth. This integrated approach is intended to give partners one multi-tenant environment to deliver complete identity resilience, while customers gain modern protection without the operational burden of stitching together multiple tools.

With this acquisition, the combined company intends to deliver a four-layer identity security architecture that stops identity and privilege misuse via uncontrolled privileges, user authentication, and inconsistent access policies; eliminates broad, risky access paths; protects identity systems from disruption; and stops identity‑based attacks.

Evo Security’s team has joined Barracuda, which will continue to support Evo Security’s existing MSPs as the platform expands. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
