Ingram Micro Opens New Service Hub
Ingram Micro has announced the opening of a new IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) Service Hub.
Based in Richmond, Virginia, the distributor’s newest and largest ITAD facility brings the company’s network of North American processing, logistics, and service center locations to 17. Additional locations are slated to open as the year progresses. Ingram Micro opened five such facilities last year.
“Each new facility serves to increase efficiency for both current and new clients,” said Todd Zegers, Ingram Micro’s vice president ITAD, Commerce & Lifecycle Services. “Facilities are selected with the specific goal of minimizing the need for 3rd party carriers, which in turn shortens lead times, lowers logistics costs, and extends the reach of our direct client-site data erasure and destruction services.”
IT Asset Disposition plays a critical role in data security. As a fully certified ITAD provider, Ingram Micro ensures that all data-bearing devices are thoroughly sanitized or destroyed when they’re retired from service. This service hub is home base for an ITAD-dedicated Ingram Micro truck as well as technicians and mobile degaussing and shredding equipment to bring point-of-need onsite data sanitization and hard drive destruction services to clients.
Service scheduling for the Richmond facility is available immediately.
