ForeScout Names Todd DeBell Vice President of Worldwide Channel Sales

ForeScout Technologies, Inc., a San Jose-based cybersecurity vendor, announced that Todd DeBell has joined the company as vice president of worldwide channel sales.

DeBell previously held executive channel positions at FireMon, where he managed 26 global distribution partners and a global network of more than 240 channel partners.

“Todd brings more than two decades of channel, sales and cybersecurity experience — his past success really speaks for itself,” said ForeScout President and CEO Michael DeCesare. “Todd’s unique skill set is perfectly suited to guide ForeScout’s channel distribution and sales strategy into new and emerging markets across the globe.”

ForeScout helps organizations better manage their security stance with visibility into both agentless and agent devices, multi-vendor orchestration and automated security controls. This holistic approach has become necessary in a time when smart devices associated with the Internet of Things, dispersed workforces and siloed security solutions continue to introduce risks to enterprises’ growing networks.

ForeScout specializes in agentless security technologies. The company claims more than 2,000 customers in over 60 countries.

Avnet Introduces Mobility Framework Based on EMC and Microsoft Technologies

Avnet has introduced its offering of the VCE VxRail Appliance Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite Mobility Solutions Framework, a new solution for the mid-market that links private cloud, public cloud and mobile device functionality.

“Mid-market data center teams are confronted with an ever-increasing demand for new applications, new services and new ways of doing business,” said Eric Barnhart, vice president of Avnet’s EMC solutions business unit in the Americas. “Since each mid-market organization has its own view of how and where mobile applications would best enable and extend their business goals, Avnet worked with EMC and our partner base to develop a mid-market mobility framework based on standards and best practices gleaned from our combined years of experience.”

This new mobility solution is designed to help partners develop solutions that reduce both risk and cost, and address critical governance issues – particularly for any regulated industry/vertical market, such as healthcare and government.

The VCE VxRail Appliances are jointly engineered, hyper-converged infrastructure appliances by EMC and VMware that tightly integrate virtualization, compute, storage and data protection in one system, with a single point of support.

D&H Launches “SMB Blueprints” to Support the Modern Office Environment

D&H Distributing has launched new tools and resources to help resellers and MSPs assemble solutions for the modern highly mobile office space that includes communications, power protection, seamless mobility, and hybrid cloud protocols like cloud-based back-up and storage, printing from the cloud, cloud networking, as well as the Microsoft Office 365 and Azure platforms.

“Resellers are often highly focused on service levels, hardware installation and problem solving,” said Peter DiMarco, vice president of VAR sales for D&H’s Computer Products Division. “We want VARs to think in a new way, building solutions with an overall business environment in mind that embraces collaboration and creativity. This requires high-performance mobile-based computing devices and collaboration tools, and usually calls for robust managed services and hybrid cloud capabilities, be that via virtualization, BDR, hosted applications or monitoring tools.”

D&H ships out of five separate locations in North America, including its US headquarters in Harrisburg and its Canadian headquarters in Brampton, Ontario. Additional US warehouses are located in Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; and Fresno, CA.
