ConnectSecure Launches Professional Services Suite and Boot Camp for MSPs

ConnectSecure, a Tampa-based provider of vulnerability and compliance management for MSPs, has launched new Professional Services packages, including “Certified Administrator Boot Camp,” which is described as “an intensive training program designed to help MSPs deepen their platform expertise and broaden their service capabilities.” The four-day, 12-hour course focuses on mastering the platform’s architecture, features, and best practices.

A Vulnerability Management Program Workshop for MSP leadership covers strategy, policy, packaging, and legal frameworks. Other benefits include deep dive sessions on agent deployment, network scanning, and sales growth via prospect assessments.

The objective is to provide partners with the policies, processes, documentation, and legal templates needed to operate as professional cybersecurity providers, win new business, and clearly define service commitments. MSPs can also get varying levels of assistance from the company, based on their specific level of maturity,

ConnectSecure’s consulting services help partners scale through bronze, silver and gold tiers, each offering similar support but with increased expert time and senior consultant access at the gold level.

Accenture to Acquire CyberCX

Accenture has agreed to acquire CyberCX, a privately-owned cybersecurity services provider primarily serving Australia, New Zealand. The move represents Accenture’s largest cybersecurity acquisition to date and is intended to bolster Accenture’s cybersecurity services in Asia Pacific.

Established in Melbourne, Australia in 2019, CyberCX reports a workforce of approximately 1,400 professionals with a service roster that includes consulting, transformation, managed security, and advanced capabilities in offensive security and cyber physical security, crisis management, threat intelligence, and managed detection/response. The company operates a network of security operations centers across Australia and New Zealand, with additional offices in London and New York.it also comes to the table with AI-powered platforms that deliver cybersecurity services including detection and response and sovereign secure cloud.

The company has also forged ecosystem partnerships across major cybersecurity players such as Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike.

The acquisition will be the latest in a series of strategic moves by Accenture to expand its cybersecurity capabilities and solutions. Since 2015, Accenture has completed 20 security acquisitions, including most recently acquiring Morphus, MNEMO Mexico and Innotec Security.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of regulatory approvals.

LevelBlue and Akamai Partner to Launch New Managed Web Application and API Protection Services

LevelBlue has launched its Managed Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) security service, designed to deliver adaptive, always-on protection that can reduce risk and operational overhead for web application and API security. Used in conjunction with Akamai’s App & API Protector technology, the offering combines a web application firewall (WAF), distributed-denial-of service (DDoS) mitigation, bot protection, and foundational API security capabilities.

“Today, a surprising number of organizations rely on multiple tools that are not purpose-built for web application and API security—leading to complexity, silos, and rising costs,” said Sundhar Annamalai, president of the Dallas-based provider of managed security services, strategic consulting, and threat intelligence. “LevelBlue offers an alternative: proven services that consolidate and simplify protections with predictable investment. By combining LevelBlue’s operational expertise with Akamai’s proven technology, organizations can stay ahead of evolving threats and create cyber resilience for critical digital capabilities.”

The offering is available in two tiers, Essential and Advanced, giving organizations the flexibility to choose a service level that best meets their needs with regard to web application and API protection. Core benefits include the ability to automatically discover and secure critical assets, the use of AI in conjunction with global threat intelligence to spot anomalies and adapt to new attack vectors, automated security management, and access to a team of specialists.

“In 2024 alone, Akamai saw over 311 billion web app attacks. As AI accelerates, threats are harder to spot, and security is tougher to control,” said Rupesh Chokshi, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Akamai’s Application Security Portfolio.
