GoTo and Acronis Announce New Strategic Partnership and Integrated LogMeIn Data Protection Suite for MSPs

GoTo, a Boston-based cloud communications company, and Acronis, a global player in cybersecurity and data protection, have announced a new strategic partnership aimed at enhancing endpoint management and security capabilities for IT professionals, MSPs, and small to midsized businesses. The value proposition includes the launch of a new LogMeIn Data Protection Suite that brings together LogMeIn Resolve’s unified endpoint management (UEM) capabilities with business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) tools from Acronis.

“IT teams and Managed Service Providers today are tasked with managing incredibly complex environments, and that means endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery are often handled in separate, siloed platforms,” said Joseph George, General Manager of IT Solutions Group at GoTo. “Lack of integration across these silos, however, can lead to missed backups, inconsistent policies applied across devices, and delayed disaster recovery responses. We’ve partnered with Acronis to create a solution to these challenges with the new LogMeIn Data Protection, delivering a connected, scalable experience that dramatically reduces risk, complexity, and time to incident response.”

Capabilities of the new offering include scheduling of custom file-level, disk-level, image, and application backups, deployment of agents, automated backup timing with policy-based controls, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 coverage, and restore capabilities.

In addition to the new LogMeIn Data Protection Suite, current Acronis BCDR customers will experience a new native integration that offers simplified backup and recovery workflows that maintain business continuity as they enroll backup agents on devices and configure custom schedules directly from Resolve.

The announcement represents the first phase of the new strategic partnership between the companies, with additional integrations and updates planned for the months ahead.

Proofpoint Acquires Nuclei for Enhanced Communications Capture and Archiving

Proofpoint, Inc., a Sunnyvale, California-based cybersecurity and compliance company, has announced the acquisition of Nuclei, Inc., a U.S.-based technology company specializing in compliance archiving and AI-driven data enrichment.

With this acquisition, Proofpoint expects to enhance its digital communications governance (DCG) offering with capabilities to capture, retain, and analyze communications across workspace collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, Webex, WhatsApp, and RingCentral Voice. In addition, Proofpoint will continue to support integration with a broad range of archive and data governance platforms to ensure delivery of interoperability across diverse customer environments.

The Nuclei platform is designed to capture and archive data from more than 100 applications including messages, attachments, and metadata across collaboration tools. The platform also offers speech recognition in over 120 languages, real-time transcription, automatic translation, and video analysis. Vendor integrations include Proofpoint, Smarsh, Global Relay, Arctera, and Microsoft Purview. It also offers end-to-end encryption to protect data in transit, encrypting content from point of capture to storing in the archive.

“At Nuclei, our mission is to democratize access to the world’s most valuable data by transforming workplace communications into structured, compliant, and actionable information,” said Eric Franzen, CEO of Nuclei, Inc. “Partnering with Proofpoint allows us to extend that impact by helping the world’s largest organizations boost productivity across hundreds of collaboration platforms while staying ahead of growing regulatory requirements.”

Vast Data and Cisco Expand Partnership for AI Infrastructure

Vast Data, an AI operating system company, announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Cisco to deliver a fully integrated and validated AI infrastructure stack that spans compute, networking, storage, and observability. The two companies plan to provide a turnkey platform for building agentic, data-intensive AI systems at scale.

The joint solution integrates key technologies including a jointly validated, enterprise-grade platform that brings together Cisco’s compute and networking leadership with the Vast operating system. The Vast InsightEngine accelerates vector search, data preparation, and inference workflows at the point of data, while AgentEngine orchestrates autonomous agents that continuously operate on live data streams. A consolidated software stack simplifies infrastructure by unifying structured, unstructured, and vector data management with agentic compute services – enabling real-time reasoning for next-gen AI applications and workflow automation at scale.

The offering also provides high-performance compute with Cisco UCS and scalable, AI-optimized network fabrics via Cisco Nexus, validated to run seamlessly with Vast’s Disaggregated Shared Everything (DASE) architecture – delivering predictable performance across deployments of all sizes.

A zero-trust infrastructure model combines Vast’s native data governance and multi-tenant controls with Cisco’s secure platform architecture—ensuring isolated, compliant environments for sensitive AI workloads across hybrid and on-prem deployments.

“Cisco and VAST share a vision for making AI infrastructure accessible, secure, and scalable for every enterprise,” said Jeremy Foster, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Cisco Compute. “We’re enabling customers to collapse complexity and unlock faster time-to-value by providing a unified infrastructure stack built for the demands of AI.”

The Vast AI operating system is now available directly through Cisco’s Global Price List (GPL) and is fully supported by Cisco as part of the joint solution.
