IntelliVision Launches Video Analytics Partner Program

IntelliVision Technologies, a San Jose-based vendor providing video analytics software for smart cameras has announced the roll-out of its new partner program.

Capitalizing on the millions of cameras, dash cams and video doorbells that leverage the company’s software used for closed circuit television, security and surveillance systems, the program provides tier-based discounts, product training/support, qualified leads, demo licenses, and marketing resources.

The product line includes object detection and classification (humans, vehicles, pets, airplanes), people/vehicle counting, demographics, intrusion/perimeter watch, object left/removed, license plate recognition (ALPR/ANPR), audio/sound recognition and facial recognition. Markets include Smart City, Smart Transport, Smart Retail, Smart Building, and Smart Home. The devices can run in-camera, on-premise, or over the cloud.

A subsidiary of Nortek Security & Control LLC, IntelliVision says its video analytics products are used in more than five million cameras around the world. Customers range from Fortune 500 companies to home users.

Nutanix and Intel Partner for Hyperconverged Infrastructure

Nutanix, an enterprise cloud vendor in San Jose, has announced that it is partnering with Intel Corporation to enable systems integrators and VARs to deliver Nutanix-qualified Intel Data Center Block hardware platforms under the company’s Technology Alliance Partner Program. Through this collaboration, IT leaders will be able to deploy and operate Nutanix’s enterprise cloud OS software running on Intel Data Center Block configure-to-order servers.

In addition to providing a faster time to market for emerging Intel-based technologies, VARs and SIs can incorporate specific services to increase their value-add, and support their customers through the project lifecycle, including design, implementation, scaling, and support.

“It is critical to us that customers have a frictionless path to deploy the ideal solution for their datacenter needs,” said Raja Mukhopadhyay, vice president of product management at Nutanix. “In the long term, SIs and VARs can help customers take advantage of the solution’s ease-of-use and scalability, which optimizes their applications’ performance so they can elevate their IT operations to be more strategic.”

This joint solution is available immediately in the Americas, with plans to extend to a worldwide program in the near future. The partnership is initially supported by Arrow and Tech Data.

Through this partnership, VARs and SIs who are Authorized Nutanix Channel Partners, will be able to brand and personalize Intel Data Center Blocks, packaging them with Nutanix software for individual customer deployments.

Tech Data Partners with Seagate for Value-Added Cloud Storage Solutions

Tech Data’s Global Computing Components (GCC) division has signed a North American distribution agreement with Seagate Enterprise Data Solutions.

A specialized solution business of Tech Data, GCC specializes in component-based solutions for the client, enterprise and data center markets. The addition of Seagate Exos and Nytro Systems to the GCC lineup delivers a new platform for integrated data center solutions.

“As the storage market quickly evolves to a software-defined cloud universe, Tech Data is aligning our channel offerings to give our customers maximum opportunity to take advantage of this tremendous growth opportunity,” said Joe Cousins, vice president, GCC Americas, at Tech Data. “We are looking forward to connecting our North American customer base to Seagate’s world-class data storage products.”
