Dell Technologies Unveils “Autonomous Infrastructure”
Dell Technologies has rolled out updated infrastructure designed to simplify deployment, management and use of Information Technologies. Branded as “PowerOne,” the new solution integrates PowerEdge compute, PowerMax storage, PowerSwitch networking and VMware virtualization into a single system combined with a built-in intelligence engine to automate manual procedures.
“PowerOne autonomous infrastructure automates IT so customers can focus less on managing technology and more on benefiting from it,” said Jeff Boudreau, president, Dell Technologies Infrastructure Solutions Group. “As we look to the future, PowerOne offers a tremendous leap forward. It helps customers focus on unleashing the power of data, allowing IT teams to innovate and achieve business goals faster.”
PowerOne’s autonomous operations leverage a built-in automation engine that the company describes as the counterpart to lane assist, navigation and similar features in autonomous vehicles. In this case, however, the system conducts operations such as the deployment of workloads, applications, or the development of new products and services.
The automation engine takes advantage of a Kubernetes microservices architecture and uses Ansible workflows to assist users by automating the component configuration and provisioning, delivering a customer-managed datacenter-as-a-service.
VMWare cloud software is also used extensively.
PowerOne provides a single system-level API, giving users the control to create business objective-specific pools of resources. This API can be tied into existing tools, such as service portals, to deliver programmable versus manual IT operations.
Components include an onboard controller, a modular server, Dell EMC switches, storage3 arrays, and the PowerProtect data security portfolio. Advisory and migration services are also available, as well as multiple pay-per-use payment options.
PowerOne helps customers simplify their path to hybrid cloud by combining Dell EMC infrastructure with VMware cloud software. It is intended to help remove the complexity of managing multiple clouds by bringing consistent infrastructure and operations across private clouds, public clouds, and edge locations.

TapClicks Rolls out Partner Program
TapClicks, a San Jose-based company specializing in marketing intelligence, analytics, reporting, workflow and orders management, has launched its new TapClicks Partner Program, purpose-built to serve the needs of marketers and agencies that are faced with increasingly sophisticated technology and data landscapes. The tiered channel program will provide partners with marketing, sales and technology support to extend the value of the TapClicks Marketing Operations Platform by enabling marketers to become more data-driven and improve performance through the use of advanced analytics, intelligence, and reporting capabilities.

This program is designed to help meet that need.
