Cylance Rolls Out Virtual CISO
Cylance Inc., an Irvine, California-based security vendor, has announced the availability of its virtual chief information security officer (vCISO) service, a program designed to provide organizations with critical technology and security resources that support security architectures plus staff augmentation.
The company provides full spectrum predictive threat prevention and visibility across the enterprise to combat cybersecurity attacks.
“Today’s cybersecurity landscape presents CISOs the challenge of trying to implement digital transformation and other important initiatives across their organizations without the adequate people or systems in place to support the complex environments they manage,” said Corey White, senior vice president of Cylance Consulting. “To meet those challenges, security leaders require access to expert knowledge on the fly that helps them identify, assess, and communicate security risks to their management teams and boards of directors, which in turn helps them better manage risk and keep the overall costs of security compliance under control.”
Cylance vCISO leverages automation and artifact analysis to collect information and assess data. It also defines likely security scenarios to build risk profiles, recommend actions, and highlight internal strengths, allowing organizations to customize their approach to security without having to customize all of the technology that supports their security environments. Personnel work from remote locations or at a customer’s physical address, depending on the needs and urgency of the project.

The service is intended to help organizations manage day-to-day security needs and meet common security standards, frameworks, and compliance regulations such as NIST, ISO/IEC, and SANS CIS by assigning experienced security professionals with expertise in the areas where customers need the most help. The net result includes decreased vulnerability to recruitment and retention while enabling technical staff to focus more fully on business differentiators.

Augmenting a technical certification program rolled out earlier this year, the training provides partners with a solid knowledge of how Netwrix Auditor enhances data security and mitigates organizational risk.
An updated partner portal provides updated functionality and various marketing and sales enablement tools, including deals registration, real-time opportunity status tracking, robust search capabilities, onboarding guides and ready-to-use packages for marketing campaigns.
“We launched our Partner Sales Certification Program in order to better serve our ever-growing partner community,” said Ken Tripp, Director of Channel Accounts at Netwrix. “Comprehensive online training and tremendous support from Netwrix’s channel team will help our partners in North America be more confident about their knowledge of Netwrix products, bring value to clients who have complex and diverse infrastructures, and build a strong customer pipeline.
All authorized Netwrix partners are eligible to enroll in the program on the Netwrix partner portal. In order to be certified, partners are required to complete online training in the Netwrix Partner University.
