Ingram Micro Launches New Vertical Markets Initiative

As part of an expansion of its Vertical Advantage Program, Ingram Micro has rolled out a new online virtual learning environment developed exclusively for channel partners across the US who are specializing in vertical markets.

Available at no cost, Vertical Expo Live provides Ingram Micro channel partners with in depth details about market drivers, technology needs, trends and related issues that impact high opportunity verticals including education, healthcare, financial services, legal, public sector and retail. The online resource also recommends best practices and tools to support sales, marketing and technology deployment.

Cirrus Data Solutions Unveils Global Partner Program

Cirrus Data Solutions, of Syosset, NY has unveiled its new global Data Migration Accelerator Partner Program as part of the company’s plan to further stimulate worldwide growth.

The new program expands the company’s existing relationships for its DMS and DCS technologies into new global and vertical markets. Program members can participate at three levels of membership to leverage hands-on programs, training, certifications, joint marketing, and new incentives.

Partners qualify for the program based on their technology expertise, experience level, customer base, and annual volume commitment. Partners can access in-depth technical and sales training, and will also have access to a forthcoming new partner portal providing increased access to leads, deal registration, and a host of new marketing resources. New certification courses are also expected in 2017.

Itopia Gets New Funding to Help Partners Accelerate Cloud Adoption

Itopia, a Miami-based Workspace as a Service (WaaS) vendor has secured an additional $3.5 million in funding to pursue growth through indirect channels. The company offers a cloud workspace management platform designed to help IT service providers simplify the migration to and ongoing management of cloud services from a single dashboard.

The new funding will be used to expand the company’s channel development teams, enhance training/educational resources for service provider partners, and accelerate engineering efforts.

“With this new funding, Itopia gains the resources to generate greater awareness for its proprietary Cielo cloud workspace management platform,” said Ubaldo Don, itopia co-founder and CTO. “We’re redoubling our efforts to help channel partners and vendors seize the massive opportunity around virtual workspaces and profit from the pent-up demand for agile, cloud-based technology that aligns with companies’ business objectives and helps drive bottom-line success.”

The new funding is co-led by investors John McIntire and Eric Kamisher, both early investors in Open English and other ventures, and also Sean Charnock. McIntire and Kamisher will join Charnock on itopia’s Board of Directors.
